Welcome to our Prayer Conference

WELCOME!

Beloved! We welcome you specially to this Cathedral Prayer Conference; the gathering of God’s people and a call for intense prayer.

The Call to Come “Back to Bethel” (Gen 35:1) is a message from God to us to remind us of our responsibility to Him, the church and the society. In the text God called Jacob to arise and go up to Bethel and live there.

Bethel was significant--Abraham dwelt near Bethel, built an altar and called on the name of Lord (Genesis 12:8; 13:3,4), Jacob encountered with the Lord there while running away from the wrath of Esau after the deception (Genesis 28:19,20), and God kept reminding Jacob of Bethel.

Bethel simply put means the house of God. The house of God is the place of encounter with God. And most people encountered with God at the place of prayers as Jacob did. It is also place of the renewal of covenant. For when there is communion/communication with God either COVENANT is renewed or strengthened. Hence, we are called to back to God.

When we have an encounter with the Lord it will affect the following:
Our relationship with the Lord. We will know Him more closely, more deeply and more highly. Then, our ultimate goal is to be like Him and to please Him.
Our Church will become a place of divine encounter. The church will be a home for the transformation of men and women, a crucible to raise godly men and indeed a house of prayer.
Our society will change. The issues plaguing our society—corruption, kidnapping, injustice, and other forms of decadence will be curbed as God use transformed men to transform the society.

We call on every cathedralist and those joining us in this conference to return to God wholeheartedly and pray earnestly for restoration of God’s glory and power as of old. We plead with you to follow the program and in between 7.30am and 4pm the church will be open for personal retreat and counseling. God bless you.

  1. An fascinating discussion is value comment. I think that it is best to write extra on this matter, it won’t be a taboo topic however generally people are not enough to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers
